Artists Profile
Jane Delight Keeling is an artist and art educator who considers painting the perfect excuse to spend the day outside discovering new foliage colors and treasures in architecture. "I relish the lush tropical environment of Florida. The birds, water and flowers of Florida offer superb displays in color and light," observes the Bradenton artist. "I approach my subject realistically, but am influenced by the Impressionists."
Jane earned a BFA in Painting from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and attended several other art schools and workshops, including the Sir John Cass School of Art in London, England. She started studio painting in 1983 and spent 15 years as a mural painter, starting a mural painting business in Denver, Colo. She continued as a muralist and faux painter after moving to Oklahoma. Most recently, Jane has taken up plein air painting.
She has taught art classes in public schools and workshops and has lectured and given private painting lessons. She also owned businesses providing interior design consultation and decorative furniture painting while raising two children, Carly and Max. Her work has earned numerous awards and is found in art collections throughout the USA.
