Artists Profile
The bright tropical floral paintings of Bradenton artist Nancy Law are found in private collections throughout the U.S., including Vermont, where she and husband Ron raised their two daughters, as well as the Caribbean, England, Scotland, Germany and other parts of the world.
Nancy knew she was on her way to success as an artist when two of her early paintings were stolen from the hotel she and Rob were managing. “I was flattered that somebody liked them enough to steal them,” she says.
A career in the hospitality industry took the couple to Antigua in the West Indies, where the year-round abundance of tropical flowers kept her happily in subjects for her paintings. Nancy won three first prizes for her paintings in an All-Caribbean art show.
In addition to her paintings, Nancy also decorates furniture and walking canes with her artistry and has painted murals. She teaches painting at the Longboat Key Center for the Arts.
